दैत्यशूरैर्महाभागैस्सदारैस्ससुतैर्द्विजैः ॥ श्रौतस्मार्तार्थतत्त्वज्ञैस्स्वधर्मनिरतैर्युतम्॥७१॥
The cities contained heroic Asuras of great fortune accompanied by their wives, sons and brahmins well versed in the principles and practices of the Vedic and Smārta rites. They were strict adherents to their duties.
