ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्याकर्ण्याऽमरनुतिं परमेशश्शिवापतिः ॥ आजगाम द्रुतं द्वारि यत्र देवाः स्थिता मुने ॥३१॥
Brahmā said: O sage, on hearing the eulogy of the gods, Śiva, the lord of Pārvatī came immediately to the threshold where the gods stood waiting.
english translation
brahmovAca ॥ ityAkarNyA'maranutiM paramezazzivApatiH ॥ AjagAma drutaM dvAri yatra devAH sthitA mune ॥31॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआगतं शंकरं द्वारि सर्वे देवाश्च साच्युताः ॥ प्रणम्य तुष्टुवुः प्रीत्या नर्तका भक्तवत्सलम् ॥३२॥
The gods including Viṣṇu bowed humbly with great devotion and eulogised Śiva who is favourably disposed to His devotees, who came near the entrance.
english translation
AgataM zaMkaraM dvAri sarve devAzca sAcyutAH ॥ praNamya tuSTuvuH prItyA nartakA bhaktavatsalam ॥32॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript॥ देवा ऊचुः ॥ शंभो शिव महेशान त्वां नतास्स्म विशेषतः ॥ रक्ष नश्शरणापन्नान्दह्यमानांश्च रेतसा ॥३३॥
The gods said: O Śiva, O great lord, we bow to you particularly, save us seeking refuge in you on being scorched by your semen.
english translation
॥ devA UcuH ॥ zaMbho ziva mahezAna tvAM natAssma vizeSataH ॥ rakSa nazzaraNApannAndahyamAnAMzca retasA ॥33॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइदं दुःखं हर हर भवामो हि मृता ध्रुवम् ॥ त्वां विना कस्समर्थोऽद्य देवदुःखनिवा रणे ॥३४॥
O Śiva, please remove our misery. We will certainly die otherwise. Save you, none can remove the misery of the gods.
english translation
idaM duHkhaM hara hara bhavAmo hi mRtA dhruvam ॥ tvAM vinA kassamartho'dya devaduHkhanivA raNe ॥34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इति दीनतरं वाक्यमाकर्ण्य सुरराट् प्रभुः ॥ प्रत्युवाच विहस्याऽथ स सुरान् भक्तवत्सलः ॥ ३५ ॥
Brahmā said: On hearing these piteous words, the lord of the gods laughingly replied to the gods with his usual sympathy towards his devotees.
english translation
॥ brahmovAca ॥ iti dInataraM vAkyamAkarNya surarAT prabhuH ॥ pratyuvAca vihasyA'tha sa surAn bhaktavatsalaH ॥ 35 ॥
