मार्जनं तु ततः कार्यं शिवस्योपरि वै पुनः ॥ नमस्कारं ततः क्षांतिं पुनराचमनाय च ॥७६॥
Afterwards, the cleaning (marjana) should be done on Lord Shiva's idol, followed by offering salutations. Then, one should perform the act of kṣānti (peace or patience) and ācamanā (ritual drinking of water) again.
