बहुनात्र किमुक्तेन गोकर्णस्थानि सर्वशः ।। शिवप्रत्यक्षलिंगानि तीर्थान्यम्भांसि सर्वशः ।। ६ ।।

Of what avail is much talk. Everything in Gokarṇa is Śiva’s visible phallic image. All the waters there are holy Tīrthas.

गोकर्णे शिवलिंगानां तीर्थानामपि सर्वशः ।। वर्ण्यते महिमा तात पुराणेषु महर्षिभिः ।। ७।।

O dear, the greatness of Śiva’s holy images and the Tīrthas at Gokarṇa is explained and described in the Purāṇas by great sages.

english translation

gokarNe zivaliMgAnAM tIrthAnAmapi sarvazaH || varNyate mahimA tAta purANeSu maharSibhiH || 7||

कृतेयुगे स हि श्वेतस्त्रेतायां सोतिलोहितः ।। द्वापरे पीतवर्णश्च कलौ श्यामो भविष्यति ।। ८ ।।

In the Kṛta Yuga it is white; in the Tretā it is deep-red; in the Dvāpara it is yellow and in the Kali age it is dark in colour.

kRteyuge sa hi zvetastretAyAM sotilohitaH || dvApare pItavarNazca kalau zyAmo bhaviSyati || 8 ||

आक्रान्तसप्तपातालकुहरोपि महाबलः ।। प्राप्ते कलियुगे घोरे मृदुतामुपयास्यति ।। ९ ।।

Mahābala, though it has pervaded the regions as far below as the seven nether worlds, will become soft when the terrible age of Kali arrives.

महापातकिनश्चात्र समभ्यर्च्य महाबलम् ।। शिवलिंगं च गोकर्णे प्रयाताश्शांकरम्पदम् ।। १०।।

Persons committing great sins have attained Śiva’s region after worshipping Mahābala, the phallic image of Śiva at Gokarṇa.
