शुभं लब्ध्वा न हृष्येत कुप्येल्लब्ध्वाऽशुभं न हि ॥ द्वंद्वेषु समता यस्य ज्ञानवानुच्यते हि सः ॥ ३१ ॥
If a person is not elated on acquiring something good and is not annoyed on acquiring something bad and if he has equanimity, he is said to be perfectly wise.
english translation
zubhaM labdhvA na hRSyeta kupyellabdhvA'zubhaM na hi ॥ dvaMdveSu samatA yasya jJAnavAnucyate hi saH ॥ 31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआत्मयोगेन तत्त्वानामथवा च विवेकतः ॥ यथा शरीरतो यायाच्छरीरं मुक्तिमिच्छतः ॥ ३२ ॥
By self-realization of the elements or by discrimination. Just as one who desires liberation from the body goes from the body to the body.
english translation
Atmayogena tattvAnAmathavA ca vivekataH ॥ yathA zarIrato yAyAccharIraM muktimicchataH ॥ 32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसदाशिवो विलीयेत मुक्तो विरहमेव च ॥ ज्ञानमूलन्तथाध्यात्म्यं तस्य भक्तिश्शिवस्य च ॥ ३३ ॥
Sadashiva will dissolve and be liberated from separation. His devotion to Lord Śiva is the root of knowledge and spirituality.
english translation
sadAzivo vilIyeta mukto virahameva ca ॥ jJAnamUlantathAdhyAtmyaM tasya bhaktizzivasya ca ॥ 33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभक्तेश्च प्रेम संप्रोक्तं प्रेम्णश्च श्रवणन्तथा ॥ श्रवणाच्चापि सत्संगस्सत्संगाच्च गुरुर्बुधः ॥ ३४॥
From devotion there arises love; from love, the desire to hear about the lord; from this desire, association with the good and from this association a competent preceptor is attained.
english translation
bhaktezca prema saMproktaM premNazca zravaNantathA ॥ zravaNAccApi satsaMgassatsaMgAcca gururbudhaH ॥ 34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसम्पन्ने च तथा ज्ञाने मुक्तो भवति निश्चितम् ॥ इति चेज्ज्ञानवान्यो वै शंभुमेव सदा भजेत् ॥ ३५॥
If knowledge is attained he certainly becomes liberated. Hence if one desires to be perfectly wise one should worship Śiva alone always.

sampanne ca tathA jJAne mukto bhavati nizcitam ॥ iti cejjJAnavAnyo vai zaMbhumeva sadA bhajet ॥ 35॥
