उत्तरो गोपतिर्गोप्ता ज्ञानगम्यः पुरातनः॥ नीतिः सुनीतिः शुद्धात्मा सोमः सोमरतः सुखी ॥ १४॥

The latter is the cowherd, the protector, the ancient, accessible to knowledge. The moon is the moon and the moon is the source of happiness.

english translation

uttaro gopatirgoptA jJAnagamyaH purAtanaH॥ nItiH sunItiH zuddhAtmA somaH somarataH sukhI ॥ 14॥
