तत्प्राप्य भगवान्विष्णुर्दैत्यांस्तान्बलवत्तरान् ॥ जघान तेन चक्रेण द्रुतं सर्वान्विना श्रमम् ॥ ३१ ॥
On receiving it Viṣṇu slew the powerful demons immediately with the discus without any strain.
english translation
tatprApya bhagavAnviSNurdaityAMstAnbalavattarAn ॥ jaghAna tena cakreNa drutaM sarvAnvinA zramam ॥ 31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजगत्स्वास्थ्यं परं लेभे बभूवुस्सुखिनस्सुराः ॥ सुप्रीतः स्वायुधं प्राप्य हरिरासीन्महासुखी ॥ ३२ ॥
Thereupon the universe derived normalcy, the gods became happy. After receiving the Sudarśana missile Viṣṇu was greatly delighted.
english translation
jagatsvAsthyaM paraM lebhe babhUvussukhinassurAH ॥ suprItaH svAyudhaM prApya harirAsInmahAsukhI ॥ 32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऋषय ऊचुः ॥ किं तन्नामसहस्रं वै कथय त्वं हि शांकरम् ॥ येन तुष्टो ददौ चक्रं हरये स महेश्वरः ॥ ३३ ॥
The sages said:— What is that hymn of Śiva that consists of his thousand names? What is that hymn whereby Śíva was so much delighted that he gave Viṣṇu the discus.
english translation
RSaya UcuH ॥ kiM tannAmasahasraM vai kathaya tvaM hi zAMkaram ॥ yena tuSTo dadau cakraM haraye sa mahezvaraH ॥ 33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतन्माहात्म्यम्मम ब्रूहि शिवसंवादपूर्वकम् ॥ कृपालुत्वं च शंभोर्हि विष्णूपरि यथातथम् ॥ ३४॥
Please expound the glory of this hymn to us and narrate the dialogue between Śiva and Viṣṇu. The merciful nature of Śiva towards Viṣṇu may also be narrated to us.

tanmAhAtmyammama brUhi zivasaMvAdapUrvakam ॥ kRpAlutvaM ca zaMbhorhi viSNUpari yathAtatham ॥ 34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यास उवाच ॥ इति तेषां वचश्श्रुत्वा मुनीनां भावितात्मनाम् ॥ स्मृत्वा शिवपदांभोजं सूतो वचनमब्रवीत् ॥ ३५॥
Vyāsa said:— On hearing the words of the pious sages, Sūta spoke after remembering the lotus-like feet of Śiva.

vyAsa uvAca ॥ iti teSAM vacazzrutvA munInAM bhAvitAtmanAm ॥ smRtvA zivapadAMbhojaM sUto vacanamabravIt ॥ 35॥
