देवास्तदा ते विज्ञाय शापस्य कारणं हि तत् ॥ युद्धाय च समुद्योगं चक्रुर्देवारिभिस्सह ॥ १६॥
Realising the cause for the curse, the gods made attempts to fight with the demons.

devAstadA te vijJAya zApasya kAraNaM hi tat ॥ yuddhAya ca samudyogaM cakrurdevAribhissaha ॥ 16॥
