अद्य दत्ता मया शापा यावंतो दुःखदायकाः॥ तावंतस्संतु भवतां संततावपि सर्वदा॥ ४१॥
Let all these curses causing misery, descend on your progeny as well.
english translation
अशैवास्संतु भवतां पुत्रपौत्रादयो द्विजाः॥ पुत्रैस्सहैव तिष्ठंतु भवंतो नरके ध्रुवम्॥ ४२॥
All your descendants—sons, grandsons and others, O brahmins, shall be non-Śaivitcs. You shall stay certainly in hell along with your sons.
english translation
ततो भवंतु चण्डाला दुःखदारिद्र्यपीडिताः ॥ शठा निन्दाकरास्सर्वे तप्तमुद्रांकितास्सदा ॥ ४३ ॥
Afterwards you shall be born as Cāṇḍālas harassed by miseries and poverty. You shall be rogues, censuring others and marked with red-hot seals.

सूत उवाच ॥ इति शप्त्वा मुनीन् सर्वान् गौतमस्स्वाश्रमं ययौ ॥ शिवभक्तिं चकाराति स बभूव सुपावनः ॥ ४४ ॥
Sūta said:— After cursing the sages, Gautama returned to his hermitage. He performed the devotional rites of Śiva and became very holy,

ततस्तैः खिन्नहृदया ऋषयस्तेखिला द्विजाः ॥ कांच्यां चक्रुर्निवासं हि शैवधर्मबहिष्कृताः ॥ ४५ ॥
Then the brahmins and sages distressed by the curses of Gautama put up their residence in Kāñcī. They were excluded from the rites of Śiva.
