सूत उवाच ॥ इत्युक्तास्ते द्विजा देवाः प्रणिपत्य पितामहम् ॥ शिवं तं शरणं प्राप्तस्सर्वलोकसुखेप्सया ॥ ४३॥

sanskrit

Sūta said:— O brahmins, thus advised, the gods bowed to Brahmā and then sought refuge in Śiva with a desire for the happiness of the worlds.

english translation

sUta uvAca ॥ ityuktAste dvijA devAH praNipatya pitAmaham ॥ zivaM taM zaraNaM prAptassarvalokasukhepsayA ॥ 43॥
