ये निष्कामतया तानि पठिष्यन्ति शुभाशयाः ।। तेषां च जननीगर्भे वासो नैव भविष्यति ।। २६।।

Those who recite them without any desire but with purity of mind will never have rebirth involving residence in the mother’s womb.

english translation

ye niSkAmatayA tAni paThiSyanti zubhAzayAH || teSAM ca jananIgarbhe vAso naiva bhaviSyati || 26||

एतेषां पूजनेनैव वर्णानां दुःखना शनम् ।। इह लोके परत्रापि मुक्तिर्भवति निश्चितम् ।। २७।।

By worshipping these, people of all castes get their miseries destroyed in this world and become liberated hereafter, to be sure.

english translation

eteSAM pUjanenaiva varNAnAM duHkhanA zanam || iha loke paratrApi muktirbhavati nizcitam || 27||

ग्राह्यमेषां च नैवेद्यं भोजनीयं प्रयत्नतः ।। तत्कर्तुः सर्व्वपापानि भस्मसाद् यान्ति वै क्षणात् ।। २८ ।।

The food offerings of these Jyotirliṅgas shall be taken and others shall be fed with the same. Such acts reduce the sins to ashes instantaneously.

english translation

grAhyameSAM ca naivedyaM bhojanIyaM prayatnataH || tatkartuH sarvvapApAni bhasmasAd yAnti vai kSaNAt || 28 ||

ज्योतिषां चैव लिंगानां बह्मादिभिरलं द्विजाः ।। विशेषतः फलं वक्तुं शक्यते न परैस्तथा ।। २९ ।।

O brahmins, the results of the worship of Jyotirliṅgas cannot be described adequately by Brahmā and others.

english translation

jyotiSAM caiva liMgAnAM bahmAdibhiralaM dvijAH || vizeSataH phalaM vaktuM zakyate na paraistathA || 29 ||

एकं च पूजितं येन षण्मासं तन्निरन्तरम् ।। तस्य दुःखं न जायेत मातृकुक्षिसमुद्भवम् ।। ३० ।।

Even if one of them is worshipped continuously for six months, the misery of rebirth in the mother’s womb will never recur.
