Shiva Purana
विषयेषु विरक्तः सन्नैहिकामुष्मिकेषु च ॥ देवानां ब्राह्मणोऽपीह लोकजेषु शिवव्रती ॥ ३९ ॥
He is detached from sensual pleasures, both physical and spiritual. Even a brāhmaṇa among the demigods is among the born of the worlds and observes the vow of Lord Śiva.

viSayeSu viraktaH sannaihikAmuSmikeSu ca ॥ devAnAM brAhmaNo'pIha lokajeSu zivavratI ॥ 39 ॥
