तत्रादौ सम्प्रवक्ष्यामि प्रणवोद्धारमम्बिके ॥ यस्य विज्ञानमात्रेण सिद्धिश्च परमा भवेत् ॥ ११॥

O Ambā, there at the outset I shall explain Praṇavoddhāra, the knowledge of which imparls the greatest achievement.

tatrAdau sampravakSyAmi praNavoddhAramambike ॥ yasya vijJAnamAtreNa siddhizca paramA bhavet ॥ 11॥

निवृत्तिमुद्धरेत्पूर्वमिन्धनं च ततः परम् ॥ कालं समुद्धरेत्पश्चाद्दंडमीश्वरमेव च ॥ १२ ॥

Firstly the devotee shall extricate Nivṛtti, then the the fuel, time, s iff, and the lord.

nivRttimuddharetpUrvamindhanaM ca tataH param ॥ kAlaM samuddharetpazcAddaMDamIzvarameva ca ॥ 12 ॥

वर्णपंचकरूपोयमेवं प्रणव उद्धृतः ॥ त्रिमात्रबिन्दुनादात्मा मुक्तिदो जपतां सदा ॥ १३ ॥

Thus the Praṇava of five syllables is explained by extricating the three Mātrās, Bindu and Nāda. It yields liberation to those who perform the Japa in this manner.

varNapaMcakarUpoyamevaM praNava uddhRtaH ॥ trimAtrabindunAdAtmA muktido japatAM sadA ॥ 13 ॥

ब्रह्मादिस्थावरान्तानां सर्वेषां प्राणिनां खलु ॥ प्राणः प्रणव एवायं तस्मात्प्रणव ईरितः ॥ १४ ॥

Praṇava is the vital breath of all living beings from Brahmā to immobile beings. Being the Prāṇa thus, it is called Praṇava.

brahmAdisthAvarAntAnAM sarveSAM prANinAM khalu ॥ prANaH praNava evAyaM tasmAtpraNava IritaH ॥ 14 ॥

आद्यम्वर्णमकारं च उकारमुत्तरे ततः ॥ मकारं मध्यतश्चैव नादांतं तस्य चोमिति ॥ १५ ॥

It consists of A, U and M in the middle, Bindu and Nāda at the end. That is Om.

AdyamvarNamakAraM ca ukAramuttare tataH ॥ makAraM madhyatazcaiva nAdAMtaM tasya comiti ॥ 15 ॥
