इन्द्रा॑ग्नी अ॒पादि॒यं पूर्वागा॑त्प॒द्वती॑भ्यः । हि॒त्वी शिरो॑ जि॒ह्वया॒ वाव॑द॒च्चर॑त्त्रिं॒शत्प॒दा न्य॑क्रमीत् ॥ इन्द्राग्नी अपादियं पूर्वागात्पद्वतीभ्यः । हित्वी शिरो जिह्वया वावदच्चरत्त्रिंशत्पदा न्यक्रमीत् ॥
This footless (dawn), Indra and Agni, comes before the footed sleepers, animating the head (of living beings with consciousness), causing them to utter loud sounds with their tongues, and passing onwards she traverses thirty steps.
english translation
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ हि त॑न्व॒ते नरो॒ धन्वा॑नि बा॒ह्वोः । मा नो॑ अ॒स्मिन्म॑हाध॒ने परा॑ वर्क्तं॒ गवि॑ष्टिषु ॥ इन्द्राग्नी आ हि तन्वते नरो धन्वानि बाह्वोः । मा नो अस्मिन्महाधने परा वर्क्तं गविष्टिषु ॥
Indra and Agni, men verily stretch their bows with their arms, but do not you desert us contending for cattle in the great combat.
english translation
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तप॑न्ति मा॒घा अ॒र्यो अरा॑तयः । अप॒ द्वेषां॒स्या कृ॑तं युयु॒तं सूर्या॒दधि॑ ॥ इन्द्राग्नी तपन्ति माघा अर्यो अरातयः । अप द्वेषांस्या कृतं युयुतं सूर्यादधि ॥
Indra and Agni, murderous, aggressive enemies harasss us; drive away mine adversaries; separate them from (sight of) the sun.
english translation
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी यु॒वोरपि॒ वसु॑ दि॒व्यानि॒ पार्थि॑वा । आ न॑ इ॒ह प्र य॑च्छतं र॒यिं वि॒श्वायु॑पोषसम् ॥ इन्द्राग्नी युवोरपि वसु दिव्यानि पार्थिवा । आ न इह प्र यच्छतं रयिं विश्वायुपोषसम् ॥
Indra and Agni, yours are both celestial and terrestrial treasures; bestow upon us, on this occasion, life-sustaining riches.
english translation
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी उक्थवाहसा॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्हवनश्रुता । विश्वा॑भिर्गी॒र्भिरा ग॑तम॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑ ॥ इन्द्राग्नी उक्थवाहसा स्तोमेभिर्हवनश्रुता । विश्वाभिर्गीर्भिरा गतमस्य सोमस्य पीतये ॥
Indra and Agni, who are to be attracted by hymns; you, who hear our invocation (accompanied) by praise and by all adorations, come hither to drink of this Soma libation.
