दू॒तं वो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दसं हव्य॒वाह॒मम॑र्त्यम् । यजि॑ष्ठमृञ्जसे गि॒रा ॥ दूतं वो विश्ववेदसं हव्यवाहममर्त्यम् । यजिष्ठमृञ्जसे गिरा ॥
I propitiate you with praise, the messenger (of the gods), the omniscient, the bearer of oblations, the immortal, the chief sacrificer.
english translation
स हि वेदा॒ वसु॑धितिं म॒हाँ आ॒रोध॑नं दि॒वः । स दे॒वाँ एह व॑क्षति ॥ स हि वेदा वसुधितिं महाँ आरोधनं दिवः । स देवाँ एह वक्षति ॥
The mighty one knows how to bestow the (desired) wealth (upon the worshipper); he knows the ascents of heaven; may he bring the gods hither.
english translation
स वे॑द दे॒व आ॒नमं॑ दे॒वाँ ऋ॑ताय॒ते दमे॑ । दाति॑ प्रि॒याणि॑ चि॒द्वसु॑ ॥ स वेद देव आनमं देवाँ ऋतायते दमे । दाति प्रियाणि चिद्वसु ॥
He, the divine (Agni), knows how the gods are to be reverenced; to the sincere (worshipper) in his dwelling he gives wealth that is desired.
english translation
स होता॒ सेदु॑ दू॒त्यं॑ चिकि॒त्वाँ अ॒न्तरी॑यते । वि॒द्वाँ आ॒रोध॑नं दि॒वः ॥ स होता सेदु दूत्यं चिकित्वाँ अन्तरीयते । विद्वाँ आरोधनं दिवः ॥
He is the invoker (of the gods), comprehending the deity of (their) messenger; and, knowing the ascent of the sky, he travels between earth and heaven.
english translation
ते स्या॑म॒ ये अ॒ग्नये॑ ददा॒शुर्ह॒व्यदा॑तिभिः । य ईं॒ पुष्य॑न्त इन्ध॒ते ॥ ते स्याम ये अग्नये ददाशुर्हव्यदातिभिः । य ईं पुष्यन्त इन्धते ॥
May we be they who propitiate Agni with gifts of oblations, and who, cherishing him, feed him with fuel.
