कृ॒णोत्य॑स्मै॒ वरि॑वो॒ य इ॒त्थेन्द्रा॑य॒ सोम॑मुश॒ते सु॒नोति॑ । स॒ध्री॒चीने॑न॒ मन॒सावि॑वेन॒न्तमित्सखा॑यं कृणुते स॒मत्सु॑ ॥ कृणोत्यस्मै वरिवो य इत्थेन्द्राय सोममुशते सुनोति । सध्रीचीनेन मनसाविवेनन्तमित्सखायं कृणुते समत्सु ॥
Indra bestows wealth upon him who offers a libation to him, desiring it, though in another sphere; and, with a humble mind, makes him who is devoted to him his friend in combats.
english translation
य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒नव॒त्सोम॑म॒द्य पचा॑त्प॒क्तीरु॒त भृ॒ज्जाति॑ धा॒नाः । प्रति॑ मना॒योरु॒चथा॑नि॒ हर्य॒न्तस्मि॑न्दध॒द्वृष॑णं॒ शुष्म॒मिन्द्र॑: ॥ य इन्द्राय सुनवत्सोममद्य पचात्पक्तीरुत भृज्जाति धानाः । प्रति मनायोरुचथानि हर्यन्तस्मिन्दधद्वृषणं शुष्ममिन्द्रः ॥
Indra accepting graciously the praises of his devoted (worshipper), who today pours out the libation to him who toasts the buttered cakes, or fries barley for Indra, exercises towards him the power that grants his desires.

य॒दा स॑म॒र्यं व्यचे॒दृघा॑वा दी॒र्घं यदा॒जिम॒भ्यख्य॑द॒र्यः । अचि॑क्रद॒द्वृष॑णं॒ पत्न्यच्छा॑ दुरो॒ण आ निशि॑तं सोम॒सुद्भि॑: ॥ यदा समर्यं व्यचेदृघावा दीर्घं यदाजिमभ्यख्यदर्यः । अचिक्रदद्वृषणं पत्न्यच्छा दुरोण आ निशितं सोमसुद्भिः ॥
When the destroyer (of enemies) distinguishes a mortal foe; when the lord is engaged in the long (continued) battle, (his) bride summons to the dwelling the showerer (of benefits), encompassed by the offerers of the libation.
english translation
भूय॑सा व॒स्नम॑चर॒त्कनी॒योऽवि॑क्रीतो अकानिषं॒ पुन॒र्यन् । स भूय॑सा॒ कनी॑यो॒ नारि॑रेचीद्दी॒ना दक्षा॒ वि दु॑हन्ति॒ प्र वा॒णम् ॥ भूयसा वस्नमचरत्कनीयोऽविक्रीतो अकानिषं पुनर्यन् । स भूयसा कनीयो नारिरेचीद्दीना दक्षा वि दुहन्ति प्र वाणम् ॥
A man has realized a small price for an article of great value, and again coming (to the buyer he says) this has not been sold; I require the full price; but he does not recover a small price by a large (equivalent); whether helpless or clever they adhere to their bargain.
english translation
क इ॒मं द॒शभि॒र्ममेन्द्रं॑ क्रीणाति धे॒नुभि॑: । य॒दा वृ॒त्राणि॒ जङ्घ॑न॒दथै॑नं मे॒ पुन॑र्ददत् ॥ क इमं दशभिर्ममेन्द्रं क्रीणाति धेनुभिः । यदा वृत्राणि जङ्घनदथैनं मे पुनर्ददत् ॥
Who buys him, my Indra, with ten kine? when he shall have slain (your) foes, then let (the purchaser) give him again to me.
