श्रेष्ठं॑ यविष्ठ भार॒ताग्ने॑ द्यु॒मन्त॒मा भ॑र । वसो॑ पुरु॒स्पृहं॑ र॒यिम् ॥ श्रेष्ठं यविष्ठ भारताग्ने द्युमन्तमा भर । वसो पुरुस्पृहं रयिम् ॥
Youngest (of the gods), Agni descendant of Bhārata, granter of dwellings, bring (to us) excellent, splendid and enviable riches.
english translation
मा नो॒ अरा॑तिरीशत दे॒वस्य॒ मर्त्य॑स्य च । पर्षि॒ तस्या॑ उ॒त द्वि॒षः ॥ मा नो अरातिरीशत देवस्य मर्त्यस्य च । पर्षि तस्या उत द्विषः ॥
Let no enemy prevail against us, whether of god or man; protect us from both such foes.
english translation
विश्वा॑ उ॒त त्वया॑ व॒यं धारा॑ उद॒न्या॑ इव । अति॑ गाहेमहि॒ द्विष॑: ॥ विश्वा उत त्वया वयं धारा उदन्या इव । अति गाहेमहि द्विषः ॥
Let us, through your favour, overwhelm all our foes like torrents of water.
english translation
शुचि॑: पावक॒ वन्द्योऽग्ने॑ बृ॒हद्वि रो॑चसे । त्वं घृ॒तेभि॒राहु॑तः ॥ शुचिः पावक वन्द्योऽग्ने बृहद्वि रोचसे । त्वं घृतेभिराहुतः ॥
Purifier, Agni, holy, adorable, you shine exceedingly when (you are) worshipped with (oblations of) butter.
english translation
त्वं नो॑ असि भार॒ताग्ने॑ व॒शाभि॑रु॒क्षभि॑: । अ॒ष्टाप॑दीभि॒राहु॑तः ॥ त्वं नो असि भारताग्ने वशाभिरुक्षभिः । अष्टापदीभिराहुतः ॥
Agni, descendantof Bharatā, you are entirely ours, when sacrificed to with pregnant kine, with barren cows, or bulls.
