Phaladeepika
अन्तः शोकं स्वजनविरहं रक्तपित्तोष्णरोगं लग्ने वित्ते भयमपि गिरां दोषमर्थक्षयं च । धैरे भौमो जनयति जयं स्वर्णभूषंप्रमोदं स्थानभ्रंशं रुजमुदरजां बन्धुदुःखं चतुर्थे ॥ १३॥
When Mars transits the Janma Rasi, there will result dejection of the mind, separation from one's relations and diseases caused by (impurity of) blood, bile or heat. In his passage through the 2 nd house, Mars will cause fear, hot words, and loss of wealth. In the 3 rd house, the effect will be success (in everything) and happiness through the attainment of golden ornaments. During his passage in the 4 th house, he will cause loss of position, disease of the belly such as dysentery, diarrhoea, etc, and sorrow through relations.
