सर्वकर्मफलोपेतमष्टवर्गकमुच्यते । अन्यथा बलविज्ञानं दुर्ज्ञेयं गुणदोषजम् ॥ ३६॥
The Ashtakavarga system is declared to be effective in all undertakings. There is no other way to determine the power of the influence arising at the time--whether good or bad.
english translation
sarvakarmaphalopetamaSTavargakamucyate । anyathA balavijJAnaM durjJeyaM guNadoSajam ॥ 36॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्रिंशाधिकफला ये स्यू राशयस्ते शुभप्रदाः । पञ्चविंशात्परं मध्यं कष्टं तस्मादधः फलम् ॥ ३७॥
Signs containing 30 or more benefic dots will always prove benefic. Those containing dots between 25 and 30 will be middling. Houses where the figure is lower than 25 will cause sorrow or misery.

triMzAdhikaphalA ye syU rAzayaste zubhapradAH । paJcaviMzAtparaM madhyaM kaSTaM tasmAdadhaH phalam ॥ 37॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमध्यात्फलाधिकं लाभे लाभात् क्षीणतरे व्यये । यस्य व्ययाधिके लग्ने भोगवानर्थवान् भवेत् ॥ ३८॥
He in whose nativity the number of benefic dots in the 11 th house of the Sarvashtakavarga exceeds that of the 10 th house and the figure in the 12 th less than that of the 11 th, and the figure in the Lagna more than that of the 12 th, will be happy and wealthy.

madhyAtphalAdhikaM lAbhe lAbhAt kSINatare vyaye । yasya vyayAdhike lagne bhogavAnarthavAn bhavet ॥ 38॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमूर्त्यादि व्ययभावान्तं दृष्ट्वा भावफलानि वै । अधिके शोभनं विद्याद्धीने दोषं विनिर्दिशेत् ॥ ३९॥
Examine the figures in the several houses from the Lagna to the 12 th inclusive. In whichever Bhavas there are more figures, transits over these houses will produce good results. Where the figures are less, the effect will be untoward.

mUrtyAdi vyayabhAvAntaM dRSTvA bhAvaphalAni vai । adhike zobhanaM vidyAddhIne doSaM vinirdizet ॥ 39॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptषष्ठाष्ठमव्ययांस्त्यक्त्वा शेषेष्वेव परकल्पयेत् । श्रेष्ठराशिषु सर्वाणि शुभकार्याणि कारयेत् ॥ ४०॥
The remarks made above in the previous Sloka apply only to houses other than the 6 th, 8 th and 12 th. During the transits through the best signs (i.e., the signs containing greater number of benefic dots, barring the Dusthanas), all things auspicious should be done.
