लग्नात्प्रभृति मन्दान्तमेकीकृत्य फलानि वै । सप्तभिर्गुणयेत्पश्चात्सप्तविंशहृतात्फलम् ॥ ४१॥
Add the figures in the houses reckoned from the Lagna to Saturn both inclusive. Multiply the sum thus obtained by 7 and divide the product by 27.

lagnAtprabhRti mandAntamekIkRtya phalAni vai । saptabhirguNayetpazcAtsaptaviMzahRtAtphalam ॥ 41॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्समानगते वर्षे दुःखं वा रोगमाप्नुयात् । एवं मन्दानि लग्नान्तं भौमराह्वोस्तथा फलम् ॥ ४२॥
In the year indicated by the quotient, the native will suffer calamity or disease. The same process should be gone through with respect to the houses reckoned from. Saturn to the Lagna. Similar remarks apply in the case of Mars and Rahu, and the years indicating similar untoward events, ascertained in the same manner.

tatsamAnagate varSe duHkhaM vA rogamApnuyAt । evaM mandAni lagnAntaM bhaumarAhvostathA phalam ॥ 42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशुभग्रहाणां संयोगसमानाब्दे शुभं भवेत् । पुत्रवित्तसुखादीनि लभते नात्र संशयः ॥ ४३॥
In the year indicated by the figure obtained by (1) adding the figures (of benefic dots) in the houses occupied by benefic planets and (2) then multiplying the same by 7 and (3) dividing the result by 27 should the year indicating anything auspicious be intimated. On such an occasion, one will, without doubt, obtain issue, wealth, happiness, etc.

zubhagrahANAM saMyogasamAnAbde zubhaM bhavet । putravittasukhAdIni labhate nAtra saMzayaH ॥ 43॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंग्रहेण मया प्रोक्तमष्टवर्गफलं त्विह । तज्ज्ञैर्विस्तरतः प्रोक्तमन्यत्र पटुबुद्धिभिः ॥ ४४॥
I have thus described here in a brief manner the effects due to Ashtakavarga. The same have been treated in greater detail in other works by intelligent men versed in the science.
