Phaladeepika
तत्त्रिकोणगते वाऽपि पितृतुल्यस्य वा मृतः । संयोगः शोध्यशिषाणां शोध्यपिण्ड इति स्मृतः ॥ ३॥
Or, when Saturn traverses through an asterism which is trine to the aforesaid asterism, the demise of the father or one similarly situated will happen. The sum-total of the figures remaining after the 2 reductions is known as Sodhyapinda.
