Phaladeepika
अष्टमस्त्थफलैर्लग्नात्पिण्डं हत्वा सुखैर्भजेत् । फलमायुविजानीयात्प्राग्वद्वेलां तु कल्पयेत् ॥ १५॥
The figure indicating the sodhya pinda (Sodhyapinda) (in the Ashtakavarga of Saturn) should be multiplied by the number signifying the benefic dots in the 8 th house from the Lagna and the product divided by 27. The quotient will represent the total Ayus in years of the native. The time of demise may also be defined as before (vide sloka 13, supra).
