Phaladeepika
गोचरग्रहवशान्मनुजानां यच्छुभाशुभफलाम्युपलब्ध्यै । अष्टवर्ग इति यो महदुक्तस्तत्प्रसाधनमिहाभिदधेऽहम् ॥ १॥
In order to ascertain the good and bad effects caused by the several planets in their transits through the Rasis of the zodiac, the Ashtakavarga has been very highly spoken of by the great sages, and I now set forth the mode of accomplishing it.
