नॄणां द्वादशवत्सरा दशहता ह्यायुःप्रमाणं परै- राख्यातं परमं शनेस्त्रिभगणं यावत्परैरीरितम् । कैश्चिच्चन्द्रसहस्रदर्शनमिह प्रोक्तं कलौ किन्तु यत् वेदोक्तं शरदः शतं हि परमायुर्दायमाचक्ष्महे ॥ २६॥
The full period of life in the case of men has been declared as 120 years (12 X 10) by some. Others there are who have stated that the full lifeperiod will be the time taken by Saturn to make 3 complete revolutions (in his orbit). There is a third school who say that the full life-period of a man is the time taken by the Moon for making 1000 revolutions. But we are of opinion that the full period of man's life in this Kaliyuga is only 100 years as stated in the Vedas.

nRRNAM dvAdazavatsarA dazahatA hyAyuHpramANaM parai- rAkhyAtaM paramaM zanestribhagaNaM yAvatparairIritam । kaizciccandrasahasradarzanamiha proktaM kalau kintu yat vedoktaM zaradaH zataM hi paramAyurdAyamAcakSmahe ॥ 26॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नादित्येन्दुकानामधिकबलवतः स्याद्दशादौ ततोऽन्या तत्केन्द्रादिस्थितानामिह बहुषु पुनर्वीर्यतो वीर्यसाम्ये । बह्वायुर्वर्षदातुः प्रथममिनवशाच्चोदितस्याब्दसाम्ये वीर्यं किन्त्वत्र सन्धिग्रहविवरहतं भावसन्ध्यन्तराप्तम् ॥ २७॥
Of the Lagna, the Sun and the Moon, whichever is strongest will have its Dasa first. Then will come the Dasa of the planets in its Kendra and other positions. When several occupy together any one of these positions the precedence will be given to the planet which predominates in strength. When they happen to be of equal strength, that which gives a longer period, in years, of Ayurdaya will have its turn first. When there is equality even in regard to the number of years of the (Ayurdaya) of the planets, that which rises first after being eclipsed by the Sun gets its Dasa prior to its fellows.

lagnAdityendukAnAmadhikabalavataH syAddazAdau tato'nyA tatkendrAdisthitAnAmiha bahuSu punarvIryato vIryasAmye । bahvAyurvarSadAtuH prathamaminavazAccoditasyAbdasAmye vIryaM kintvatra sandhigrahavivarahataM bhAvasandhyantarAptam ॥ 27॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअंशोद्भवं लग्नबलात्प्रसाध्य- मायुश्च पिण्डोद्भवमर्कवीर्यात् । नैसर्गिकं चन्द्रबलात्प्रसाध्यं ब्रूमस्रयाणामपि वीर्यसाम्ये ॥ २८॥
Amsayurdaya is to be calculated upon the predominance in strength of the Lagna; Pindayurdaya upon the Sun's superiority in strength and Naisargikayurdaya when the Moon's power is strongest. We shall now state what should be done when the the three (Lagna, the Sun and the Moon) are of equal strength.

aMzodbhavaM lagnabalAtprasAdhya- mAyuzca piNDodbhavamarkavIryAt । naisargikaM candrabalAtprasAdhyaM brUmasrayANAmapi vIryasAmye ॥ 28॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेषां त्रयाणामिह संयुतिस्तु त्रिभिर्हृता सैव दशा प्रकल्प्या । वीर्ये द्वयोरैक्यदलं तयोः स्यात् चेज्जीवशर्मायुरमी बलोनाः ॥ २९॥
Add the three Ayuidayas and divido the sum by 3. The quotient will be the Ayurdaya requir. ed. If only two of them are strong, add the two Ayurdayas and take half the result. When the thice planets are all weak, adopt the method advocated by Jeevasarman for finding out the Ayurdaya.

teSAM trayANAmiha saMyutistu tribhirhRtA saiva dazA prakalpyA । vIrye dvayoraikyadalaM tayoH syAt cejjIvazarmAyuramI balonAH ॥ 29॥

Kalachakra Dasa system has to be resorted to only when the lord of the Navamsa occupied by the Moon is strong. The Dusa calculation as per Nakshatra method is always considored as the best
