Phaladeepika
हरणं नीचेऽर्द्धमृणं स्यात्पूर्णं प्रोक्तवर्षमुच्चगृहे । पैण्डादौ व्द्यन्तरगे प्राज्ञैस्त्रैराशिकं चिन्त्यम् ॥ २३॥
The years assigned to the several planets in Sloka 21 supra are to be adopted in full when they are in exaltation. When a planet is in its depression point, the period assigned to it is reduced by half; when it occupies an intermediate position, the reduction is to be proportionate, say the wise.
