Phaladeepika
एवं भूयाच्चापसव्यं च सव्यं भानि त्रीणि त्रीणि विद्यात्क्रमेण । तद्राशीशप्रोक्तवर्षैर्दशास्य देवं प्राहुः कालचक्रे महान्तः ॥ २॥
Thus are the triads of stars reckoned in their order (from Aswini) to be distinguished as Apasavya and Savya. The years assigned to a planet constitute the Dasa-period of the Rasi owned by that planet This is the peculiarity in the Kalachakra system, say the wise.

evaM bhUyAccApasavyaM ca savyaM bhAni trINi trINi vidyAtkrameNa । tadrAzIzaproktavarSairdazAsya devaM prAhuH kAlacakre mahAntaH ॥ 2॥
