उद्यद्दृगाणपतिराशिगते सुरेड्ये तस्य त्रिकोणमपि गच्छति वा विनाशम् । रन्ध्रत्रिभागपतिमन्दिरगेऽथ मन्दे प्राप्ते त्रिकोणमथवास्य वदन्ति मृत्युम् ॥ १६॥
Find the Rasi, etc., occupied by the lord of the decanate that is rising. When Jupiter transits this position or its Trikona, the native meets with death. When Saturn transits the house owned by the lord of the decanate of the 8 th house, or its Trikona, the same event may be predicted.

Find the weakest of the three sets of planets, viz., ( 1 ) the lord of (1) the 8 th house and (2) the 22 nd decanate, both counted from the Lagna and the Moon, and (3) the Moon and Mandi. When Saturh transits a Trikona position to the Navamsa of any of the above planets, death may happen.

Find the Rasi representing the Navamsa occupied by the lord of the Lagna. See how far it is removed from Mesha. When Saturn transits a Rasi so far removed from the Rasi occupied by the lord of the 8 th house, death may happen, say those conversant with the various schools of astrology.

lagnAdhipasthitanavAMzakarAzitulyaM randhrAdhipasya gRhamApatite ghaTeze । tasminvadenmaraNayogamanekazAstra- saMkSuNNakhinnamatibhiH parikIrtitaM tat ॥ 18॥

Death may also happen when the Moon in her transit passes through the house occupied by the lord of the 22 nd decanate counted from that of the Moon at the time of birth, or its Trikona position or through the Lagna Rasi, the 8 th house or the 12 th house.

When the Sun passes through the Rasi occupied by the lord of the 8 th house and the Moon, through the Rasi occupied by the Sun or through the asterism occupied by the lord of the 8 th house, demise will happen.
