‌व्युत्थाननिरोधसंस्कारयोरभिभवप्रादुर्भावौ निरोधक्षणचित्तान्वयो निरोधपरिणामः ॥३-९॥

During the state of Nirodha, the mind is combined with both Vyutthan (the state of mind in which the sanskars are effective) and Nirodha (the state in which the sanskars are suppressed). This is said to be the result of Nirodha state of the mind.
