अविचलितमविच्छिन्नं वर्णालङ्कारसंयुतं विधिवत् । ललितं मधुरं स्निग्धं वेणोरेवं स्मृतं वाद्यम् ॥ ११ ॥
The flute, when played according to the rules, is steady, uninterrupted, and adorned with the beauty of its tones and embellishments. It is considered to be melodious, sweet, and smooth.
english translation
एवमेतत् स्वरगतं विज्ञेयंगानयोक्तृभिः । अतः परं प्रवक्ष्यामि धनातोद्यविकल्पनम् ॥ १२ ॥
