अर्थेऽपव्ययमानं तु करणेन विभावितम् । दापयेद् धनिकस्यार्थं दण्डलेशं च शक्तितः ॥ ५१ ॥

sanskrit

But him who denies a debt which is proved by good evidence, he shall order to pay that debt to the creditor and a small fine according to his circumstances.

english translation

arthe'pavyayamAnaM tu karaNena vibhAvitam | dApayed dhanikasyArthaM daNDalezaM ca zaktitaH || 51 ||
