येन केन चिदङ्गेन हिंस्याच्चेत्श्रेष्ठमन्त्यजः । छेत्तव्यं तद् तदेवास्य तन् मनोरनुशासनम् ॥ २७९ ॥

sanskrit

With whatever limb a man of a low caste does hurt to (a man of the three) highest (castes), even that limb shall be cut off; that is the teaching of Manu.

english translation

yena kena cidaGgena hiMsyAccetzreSThamantyajaH । chettavyaM tad tadevAsya tan manoranuzAsanam ॥ 279 ॥
