Manusmriti
यः साधयन्तं छन्देन वेदयेद् धनिकं नृपे । स राज्ञा तत्चतुर्भागं दाप्यस्तस्य च तद् धनम् ॥ १७६ ॥
(The debtor) who complains to the king that his creditor recovers (the debt) independently (of the court), shall be compelled by the king to pay (as a fine) one quarter (of the sum) and to his (creditor) the money (due).
english translation
yaH sAdhayantaM chandena vedayed dhanikaM nRpe । sa rAjJA tatcaturbhAgaM dApyastasya ca tad dhanam ॥ 176 ॥
