न तं स्तेना न चामित्रा हरन्ति न च नश्यति । तस्माद् राज्ञा निधातव्यो ब्राह्मणेष्वक्षयो निधिः ॥ ८३ ॥

sanskrit

Neither thieves nor foes can take it, nor can it be lost; hence an imperishable store must be deposited by kings with Brahmanas.

english translation

na taM stenA na cAmitrA haranti na ca nazyati | tasmAd rAjJA nidhAtavyo brAhmaNeSvakSayo nidhiH || 83 ||
