Manusmriti
यं मातापितरौ क्लेशं सहेते सम्भवे नृणाम् । न तस्य निष्कृतिः शक्या कर्तुं वर्षशतैरपि ॥ २२७ ॥
That trouble (and pain) which the parents undergo on the birth of (their) children, cannot be compensated even in a hundred years.
english translation
yaM mAtApitarau klezaM sahete sambhave nRNAm । na tasya niSkRtiH zakyA kartuM varSazatairapi ॥ 227 ॥
