Manusmriti
यस्माद् बीजप्रभावेण तिर्यग्जा ऋषयोऽभवन् । पूजिताश्च प्रशस्ताश्च तस्माद् बीजं प्रशस्यते ॥ ७२ ॥
As through the power of the seed (sons) born of animals became sages who are honoured and praised, hence the seed is declared to be more important.
english translation
yasmAd bIjaprabhAveNa tiryagjA RSayo'bhavan । pUjitAzca prazastAzca tasmAd bIjaM prazasyate ॥ 72 ॥
