सॊ ऽयं मत्तॊ ऽकषदेवेन मधुवन न परीक्षते परपातं बुध्यते नैव वैरं कृत्वा महारथैः ॥ २-५५-५ ॥

'This Duryodhana, similarly intoxicated by the game of dice, like the honey-gatherer absorbed in his pursuit, fails to see the consequences. By making enemies of these great warriors, he remains blind to the impending downfall that awaits him.' ॥ 2-55-5 ॥

sò 'yaM mattò 'kaSadevena madhuvana na parIkSate parapAtaM budhyate naiva vairaM kRtvA mahArathaiH ॥ 2-55-5 ॥
