तस्मै तृणं निदधावेतदादत्स्वेति तदुपप्रेयाय सर्वजवेन तन्न शशाकादातुं स तत एव निववृते नैतदशकं विज्ञातुं यदेतद्यक्षमिति ॥ १०॥
Yaksha placed the same straw in front of him and asked him to blow it. Vayudev reached near his straw with all his speed, but could not blow away that straw. Then he returned from there and said to the gods - I could not know who this Yaksha was.

यक्ष ने उनके आगे वही एक तिनका रखा, और कहा इसको उड़ा कर दिखाओ। वायुदेव अपने पूरे वेग से उसके तिनके के पास पहुंचे, परन्तु उस तिनके को उड़ा नहीं सके। तब वह वहीं से लौट पड़े और देवताओं से बोले कि - मैं इसको नहीं जान सका जो यह यक्ष है।
