न तत्र चक्षुर्गच्छति न वाग्गच्छति नो मनः । न विद्मो न विजानीमो यथैतदनुशिष्यात्त्र्यदेव तद्विदितादथो अविदितादधि । इति शुश्रुम पूर्वेषां ये नस्तद्व्याचचक्षिरे ॥ ३॥
There neither the eyes nor the speech can reach that Brahman nor the mind can reach it, hence we neither know how this Brahman should be preached nor do we understand how anyone can preach it in this condition. Do it because that Brahman is different from the knowable subject and is beyond the unknown - we have heard this from our ancestors.

वहाँ उस ब्रह्म तक न आँखें पहुँचती हैं, न वाणी पहुँचती है, न मन पहुँचता है, अत: जिस प्रकार उसका इस ब्रह्म का उपदेश करना चाहिए वह न हम जानते हैं, न ही यह समझते हैं कि इस दशा में किस प्रकार कोई इसका उपदेश करे क्योंकि वह ब्रह्म जानने योग्य विषय से भिन्न है तथा अज्ञात से भी परे है - ऐसा हमने अपने पूर्वजों से सुना है।
