यथेरितानां दोषाणां सम्यक्पीतस्य लक्षणम्। बाधिर्यमान्ध्यमूकत्वं रक्तपित्तं शिरोभ्रमम् ॥३८॥
and pacification of the vitiated dosha are the signs of proper dhumapana. ॥ Complications due to excess dhumapana and their management॥ Untimely or excessive smoking causes complications like deafness, blindness, dumbness, raktapitta (hemorrhagic disorder – bleeding from nose), and giddiness.
