The blue water lily/ utpalani (Nymphaea caerulea auct. W. Afr.) is an astringent and is effective in treating raktapitta. Similarly, the sprouts of palmyra palm/ talapralamba (Borassus flabellifer Linn.) are effective in curing urakshata (pulmonary lesion).
