व्यक्तः शुष्कस्य चादौ च रसो द्रव्यस्य लक्ष्यते। विपर्ययेणानुरसो रसो नास्ति हि सप्तमः ॥२८॥
Rasa is that which is perceived at first in dry form (of the substance). The contrary (perceived afterwards and drug in wet form) is known as anurasa (subsidiary taste). There is no seventh rasa (as unmanifested one).
