Charak Samhita
अन्तःशरीरे मांसासृगाविशन्ति यदा मलाः। तदा सञ्जायते ग्रन्थिर्गम्भीरस्थः सुदारुणः ॥९३॥
The dosha provoked by the above-mentioned factors, when it enters the flesh and blood of the internal organs of the body, gives rise to deep-rooted nodule-like swellings with severe pain.
