परं त्र्यहाज्जीवति चेत् प्रत्याख्यायाचरेत् क्रियाम्। शिरोविरेकसेकादि सर्वं वीसर्पनुच्च यत्॥७३॥
If the patient survives beyond these 3 days, then considering the condition as pratyakhyeya (incurable but manageable) one should administer treatment modalities such as shirovirecha (errhines), seka (affusions) etc., which are curative of visarpa (erysipelas like lesions).
