विषमारम्भमूलानां लिङ्गमेकं ज्वरो मतः | ज्वरस्यैकस्य चाप्येकः सन्तापो लिङ्गमुच्यते ||२८||
One symptom i.e. jwara can be considered common to many diseases that have irregular onset, while santapa (elevated temperature) is considered a symptom of only one disease i.e. jwara.
