Charak Samhita
तैक्ष्ण्यात् कर्षति हृत्कण्ठमाशु दोषं हरत्यपि । शस्यते बहुदोषाणां क्रूरकोष्ठाश्च ये नराः ॥९॥
Due to its rapid action, it causes spasmodic pain (torment) in the cardiac region and throat. It eliminates the morbid (accumulated) material instantaneously. Hence, this variety is highly useful in persons having excessively aggravated dosha and highly constipated bowel (Krura koshtha)
