Charak Samhita
लिह्यात् सर्पिर्मधुभ्यां च मोदकं वा गुडेन तु । भक्षयेन्निष्परीहारमेतच्छोधनमुत्तमम् ॥३८॥
This compounded powder may be mixed with ghee and honey and made to linctus or to an Modaka (round large sized sweet meat) using jaggery. This is considered as a good purgative and a person using it need not follow any dietary or any other restrictions.
