दुर्भक्ताजीर्णपार्श्वार्तिगुल्मप्लीहोदरेषु च। गण्डमालासु वाते च पाण्डुरोगे च शस्यते॥२६॥
It is indicated in the durbhakta (irregular food habits), ajirna (indigestion), parshwarthi (pain in the flanks), gulma (abdominal lump), plihodara(ascitis due to splenic disorder), gandamala (inflammation of glands on neck), vata roga and pandu(anemia).

पलं चित्रकदन्त्योश्च हरीतक्याश्च विंशतिः। त्रिवृत्पिप्पलिकर्षौ द्वौ गुडस्याष्टपलेन तत्॥२७॥
38. Modaka: Ingredients: Chitraka - 1 Pala ( approximately 40 grams) Danti - 1 Pala ( approximately 40 grams) Haritaki - 20 fruits of same size. Trivrita - 2 karsha ( approximately 20 grams) Pippali - 2 karsha ( approximately 20 grams) Gud - 8 pala( approximately 320 grams)

विनीय मोदकान् कुर्याद्दशैकं भक्षयेत्ततः। उष्णाम्बु च पिबेच्चानु दशमे दशमेऽह्नि च॥२८॥
These above ingredients are mixed and prepare 10 modaka (sweet bolus). One modaka is advised to use on every 10th day with hot water without any dietetic restriction.

Five fermented preparations : 39. Danti - 2 pala (8 karsha) draksha - ½ prastha (32 karsha) the decoction prepared by these two drugs are fermented and used for pittakasa, pandu.
