Charak Samhita
जलस्नेहौषधानां तु प्रमाणं यत्र नेरितम् । तत्र स्यादौषधात् स्नेहः स्नेहात्तोयं चतुर्गुणम्॥१०१॥
Where the proportion of jala (water), sneha (fatty media) and aushada (drugs & paste) are not mentioned then four times of sneha to that of aushada (kalkadravya) & four times of jala to sneha are used.
english translation
jalasnehauSadhAnAM tu pramANaM yatra neritam । tatra syAdauSadhAt snehaH snehAttoyaM caturguNam॥101॥
