आहारान् दोषपक्त्यर्थं प्रायशः परिवर्जयेत्। अन्नपानक्रमः सिद्धो ज्वरघ्नः सम्प्रकाशितः ॥१९६॥

english translation
AhArAn doSapaktyarthaM prAyazaH parivarjayet। annapAnakramaH siddho jvaraghnaH samprakAzitaH ॥196॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअत ऊर्ध्वं प्रवक्ष्यन्ते कषाया ज्वरनाशनाः। पाक्यं शीतकषायं वा मुस्तपर्पटकं पिबेत् ॥१९७॥
[Decoctions indicated in jwara] Now, we will describe the kashayas (decoctions), which alleviate jwara. These are as follows: 1. Musta and parpataka can be taken either in the form of decoction (pakya) or shita kashaya (soaking the drugs for overnight period in water and then filtering the content and using the filtrate).

ata UrdhvaM pravakSyante kaSAyA jvaranAzanAH। pAkyaM zItakaSAyaM vA mustaparpaTakaM pibet ॥197॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसनागरं पर्पटकं पिबेद्वा सदुरालभम्। किराततिक्तकं मुस्तं गुडूचीं विश्वभेषजम् ॥१९८॥
2. Parpataka decoction may be given to the patient along with nagara and duralabha. 3. The decoction made from kirata tikta, musta, guduchi and vishva bheshaja.

sanAgaraM parpaTakaM pibedvA sadurAlabham। kirAtatiktakaM mustaM guDUcIM vizvabheSajam ॥198॥
