[Chaturtha-kshara] Vatsaka, ativisha, patha, duhasparsha, hingu and chitraka should be powdered together and mixed with palashagrakshara. It is cooked in cow’s urine in an iron pan till it becomes semisolid.
Its dosage is one kola (6 gm) to be taken with lukewarm water or with madya (medicated alcohol). It is indicated in grahanidosha, shotha, arsha and pandu. The preparation is known as chaturtha kshara
